When you install the Estran app, we automatically collect certain information from your Shopify account:

  • Merchant Information: Store name, shop domain, and contact email.
  • Catalog Data: Product titles, descriptions, status, handles, and basic variant data (price, SKU).
  • Integration Data: Access tokens required to interact with the Shopify API on your behalf.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To synchronize your product catalog with AI agent platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.).
  • To provide analytics on your products' visibility across generative search engines.
  • To optimize product descriptions using Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies.
  • To monitor app performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

4. Sharing Your Information

To provide our services, we share relevant product data (titles and descriptions) with third-party generative AI providers such as OpenAI, Google, and Perplexity. We do NOT share your personal contact information or sensitive financial data with these providers.

We may also share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations or to respond to lawful requests for information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information as long as your account is active. If you uninstall the app, we will delete your data within 48 hours in accordance with Shopify's mandatory data redaction requirements.
